Department

This internship is with the HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) Operations department. This department is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the HDPE plants. You will be working with the members of the Operations Support team who do the day-to-day troubleshooting of the plant, as well as asset utilization analysis and project implementation.
The department aims to deliver the best value to SABICs customers, in a safe and responsible way.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Your assignment is in line this mission, partially concerning the review of the plants utility usage, and partially concerning the day-to-day operations engineering (troubleshooting of the plant and asset utilization analysis).
You will be working with the Operations Support team, the Maintenance department and the Technical department to define and execute specific actions that need to be taken in the plants design and operation.
The starting date of the assignment is to be discussed with the assignment leader. The preferred assignment duration is 6 months. This assignment is suitable as year end project, but can also be taken as general learning internship. The final deliverables of your project are a presentation to the HDPE Management and a concise written report.

Requirements

Because of the nature of the assignment, it is required you can speak Dutch fluently. Expected education level is HBO/WO (in progress or finished), or similar. Education type is preferably Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or similar.
The main competencies you are expected to show are being able to work with colleagues from various departments and with various backgrounds, as well as taking responsibility for your project by yourself.
